What is Figma & FigJam

Figma is a design tool and originally created as a tool for designing and prototyping user interfaces. Recently the product was extended to have a new file type called is FigJam; a digital whiteboard with many applications.

What is Figma?

Figma is the only platform that brings together powerful design features such as UI design, prototyping and an integrated community of assets.

Figma is used within Phoenix Group by the design team to design, iterate and prototype our digital products.

Within Figma, we have our design system, Compound, which helps maintain the use of a consistent design language throughout our digital estate. The purpose is to align our component-based approach across design and development.

Figma is the modern design tool, replacing the likes of Photoshop, as it is more focused on UI design and prototyping. It leads the way in offering multiple users to work on a file simultaneously in the browser of desktop application. A perfect addition to our Hybrid working model.

What is FigJam?

FigJam aims to provide simple tools for collaboration amongst multiple users at the same type, perfect for hybrid working.

FigJam can be further extended with a range of plugins that provide additional features or more complex widgets which create some useful tools and fun toys for Agile ceremonies.
